Territory Days 2012 In Old Colorado City

May 30, 2012 Simon

Great weather for the 2012 Territory Days. The wind was strong at times but the crowds just kept coming. A little breeze wasn’t going to stand in the way of a visitor to Old Colorado City and a Turkey leg! I would have liked to take more pictures, but I spent the 3 days handing out discount cards for my business, Admire Photography, based on Colorado Avenue. Met lots of nice people and saw a few old friends too. The funnel cake was it’s usual outstanding deliciousness!

One old friend I ran into was Lead singer Woody Wiley of the The Back Rose Band as they played a set in the beer garden and Bancroft Park during the festival. I first met Woody and his wife when I photographed their wedding a few years ago. Great people and nice to see them doing so well!

The other act I got to see was the ever popular Brulé, returning to Territory Days after a 2 year absence. They stage was moved to 25th Street this year which suited me just great. The windows of my photo studio over looked the band as they played. Nice to be sipping a cold one while watching them perform. I did slip out to take a few pictures, I hope you like them.
